Haie Hi Ms Carol,

... Any who, is there a Warwick Gardens page? That's where I hail from and it still stands today. It even looks the same, as if untouched by time...

Thanks, Linda May! There is now!!

Carol,

The Warwick Gardens page is rather sad so this should start things up.

This is my inheritance. Under the double windows of our living room mother kept a line of book cases (she was an avid reader) where she had on display
all of these red vases. As you can see they are lovely when the sun shines through. This is mine. It is some fifty years old.

I hope people are not embarrassed to have lived there; we were coming out of a recession and into a baby boom and I feel our parents did the best they could.
Harold Waters ('65) (31 May 1947 - 24 Feb 2001) was one of my friends from Warwick Gardens. I loved him for just who he was.
So come on, people, step up.

Thanks, Linda May! Our subscribers seem largely (to me, anyway!) to be fiercely proud of their old neighborhoods, whether they were modest or luxurious. I personally
cannot recall who else lived in Warwick Gardens. Maybe the others who did are just not included among our readers, although that seems rather far-fetched.

Thanks, Joe!

Carol,

I think the website is awesome; you have done an amazing job in keeping this going.  I love reading it every day.  It brings back some great memories.  I grew up in Warwick Gardens on Briarfield Road, three houses behind the skating rink.  At my age, I can't remember the names of all the people in that neighborhood, but I do remember the faces.  Can anyone help me with the flashbacks and names.  I graduated from Newport News High in 1962.

Thanks so much, Patti! Let's see if we can find out!
