VIRGINIA BEACH - Vivian Llewellyn
Bauserman, 83, died Thursday, Dec. 21, in Virginia Beach General
Hospital.
Mrs. Bauserman was a native of Newport News and a
lifelong Peninsula resident. She retired from the Newport News school system
as a teacher after 18 years.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Newport News, where she
served as church historian and chairman of the history and records
committee, chairman of the 95th anniversary celebration and co-chairman of
the membership committee of United Methodist Women. She was a member of the
National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution, National Society
of Colonial Dames of the 17th Century, Jamestown Society and National
Society of Magna Charter Dames. She graduated cum laude from Randolph-Macon
Woman's College in 1926.
Survivors include her husband, Willard A. Bauserman;
one daughter, Frances B. Ennis of Charleston, S.C.; two sons, Willard A.
Bauserman Jr. of Hampton and John M.
Bauserman of Manassas; one sister, Loutrell L. Jennings of
Crewe; one brother, J.T. Llewellyn of Williamston, N.C.; and five
grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in the church by the Revs.
Kenneth K. Patrick and Carl W. Haley. Burial will be in Peninsula Memorial
Park, Newport News. The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. in
the church.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions
to Trinity United Methodist Church or Westminister Canterbury.
