Class of 1962 Reunion Planning Meetings

NEWS FLASH:

The date of 1962's 45-Year Reunion has been switched
to Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 12 - 14, 2007.
It will still be held at the Point Plaza Suites, 950 J. Clyde Morris Boulevard, Newport News, VA 23601.

All schoolmates from '60, '61, '63, '64, and '65 are invited to attend the Friday night affair.

The Friday night cost will be $20.00 per person, which includes being with all of us, food, and beverages
(including beer and wine), plus a cash bar.

Our 1962 classmates will be celebrating on that night and on the 13th, ending with breakfast on the 14th.

We would love to find our 1962 classmates. I know that lots of folks that read your website, much more than our small 62 website. Our reunion is getting close (September 22) and we really would like to find as many as we can. We had a recent mailing and quite a few came back to us, such as wrong address, moved, etc. so sure would appreciate you putting that up for us.

You know also that you are always invited to attend our reunion.
We really would like to invite all the schoolmates from 1960 to 1965 to attend our Friday night affair.

They really need as many people as possible. There are only 7-1/2 months until the next reunion, and they need help and input into all that they need to do and want to do with this great reunion. Please join them.

There has been a change in plans for our January dinner/meeting. Second Street is closed, permanently.

We will meet at the County Grill in Kiln Creek Strip Shopping Center on Rt. 17, York County.

The time and date is the same as before. If anyone needs directions, please let me know and I will send you
the directions that you need from your home. The February dinner/meeting has not been set up yet,
but will be soon and I will let everyone know where we are meeting.

The NNHS Class of 1962

Regular planning meetings will begin on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at Second Street at 6:30 PM,

Good Day.
This was not a good day 5 years ago and we are feeling the pain I am sure just thinking about it today.

I have a place for our meeting; it is Second Street Restaurant in the Kiln Creek Shopping Center. If anyone
needs directions I will be happy to email them to you. The meeting is September 19th at 6:30 pm. I hope that
everyone is happy with the meeting place, and will try very hard to attend. I would appreciate knowing who will be
attending so I can let the restaurant know a little ahead of the date. So an R.S.V.P. would be greatly appreciated,
of course by email if you can or you can call me at 757-810-4000. Sure would like to see a big crowd.

Let's get together and make this a reunion better than our last; I know that we can. I would like to share that we
have hired a band this time and the roof will be rockin'.

The NNHS Class of 62 has started their reunion meetings again. Our last one was at Pat Floyd Pride's new home
in Poquoson (on April 10, 2006). We had a 'pot luck' dinner and shared that with 20 classmates. What a great time!
We had classmates from St. Thomas, Virgin Isles and Lexington, Va. attend that evening. WOW!

If any of our classmates would like to receive e-mails from our class, please post this on your website, and maybe
they will drop in on the 1962 website. We would like to contact as many of our classmates as possible;
maybe this will help.

Some of our classmates spent April 29th at the "Hilton Spring Fest", and shared a few minutes
with our Mayor Joe Frank ('60) (Pictures on website). We were just making some money for our next reunion
and had a great time meeting and greeting folks. There is also information about our next meeting that will be in May.
