Lallie Bradford Barritt
HAMPTON - Lallie Bradford Barritt, a
native of Goochland and a Peninsula resident for 62 years, passed away on
Thursday, May 29, 2003. In 1984, Lallie retired from the Newport News School
Board, as Assistant Supervisor of School Food Service, after 30 years of
service. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of First
United Methodist Church of Hampton. She is survived by her husband, Harry A.
Barritt Sr.; two sons, C. Wilton Bradford III and his wife, Pauline, and Michael
O. Bradford; one stepson, Harry Barritt Jr. and his wife, Susan; seven
grandchildren; two grandsons-in-law; one granddaughter-in-law and two
great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday,
June 1, at Peninsula Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 10
a.m. on Monday at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. L. Stanley Wright Jr.
and the Rev. William Kyle Jr. of First United Methodist Church of Hampton.
Burial will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park.

Pauline and Brad, I am so sorry over the loss of "mom". Just rejoice in all the good memories. God blessed her with almost 85 years of good health and she was able to see her grandchildren have children. Love to both of you....Pam |
