Kathleen Keller Hollowell
(15 Sept 1927 - 25 Dec 2015)

Dear Friends and Schoolmates,

   There is more sad if slightly belated news today.
  Kathleen Keller Hollowell passed away in Newport News on Christmas morning, Friday, December 25, 2015 at the age of 88.

   She was the sister of Deal Keller Knight of VA and Lil Keller Underwood of VA, and of the late   Dot Keller O'Connor (27 May 1935 - 08 July 2015), Tony Keller, Frank Keller, and the legendary    Bucky Keller ('58) (23 Mar 1939 - 31 Aug 1977).

  From Elizabeth Feathers Buchan (Hampton HS - '61) of VA - 12/29/15 - "  Kathleen Keller Hollowell":

This is    Bucky Keller's sister. He graduated in the 1950s, and I don't know if she graduated from NNHS.

   Thank you so much, Elizabeth. How I kept reading this, noticing how pretty she was, and missed seeing her maiden name, I do not know.

Such a beautiful woman who loved her family dearly. Our paths crossed through her son  Buddy. May you find peace in your mom's passing, Buddy, as I truly believe it's all about the dash, which is the quality of time spent between birth and passing, of which hers was a full blessed life, integral with family, love and laughter. My condolences to you, Ruby, and your extended family with love to friends, Dawn.

Kippe, Buddy, and family.....It is with great sorrow that I send this note to all of you. Kitty was a wonderful lady with a smile that could light up a room. I'm sure this smile came from her caring and deep love for her family. Words will fall short in an effort to express comfort during these sad times and will fade away. Her memory and the joys she brought to all of you will last forever. Best wishes during these trying times and going forward. Sincerely, Henry Hughes

Dear Kippie and Buddy,

I was saddened to learn this evening of your mother's passing and want to extend my condolences to each of you, Mike, and all in your family. I know how deeply it hurts to lose a parent and have found that it somehow helps to know that friends are holding you in their thoughts and prayers at such time. Judy and I pray that you are experiencing God's sustaining grace in a powerful way at this time.

He Leadeth Me

Words by Joseph Henry Gilmore, 1862
(29 Apr 1834 - 23 July 1918)

Music by William Batchelder Bradbury, 1864
(06 Oct 1816 - 07 Jan 1868)

He leadeth me: O blessed thought!
O words with heavenly comfort fraught!
Whate'er I do, where'er I be,
still 'tis God's hand that leadeth me.

He leadeth me, he leadeth me,
by his own hand he leadeth me;
his faithful follower I would be,
for by his hand he leadeth me.

Sometimes mid scenes of deepest gloom,
sometimes where Eden's bowers bloom,
by waters still, o'er troubled sea,
still 'tis his hand that leadeth me.

He leadeth me, he leadeth me,
by his own hand he leadeth me;
his faithful follower I would be,
for by his hand he leadeth me.

Lord, I would place my hand in thine,
nor ever murmur nor repine;
content, whatever lot I see,
since 'tis my God that leadeth me.

He leadeth me, he leadeth me,
by his own hand he leadeth me;
his faithful follower I would be,
for by his hand he leadeth me.

And when my task on earth is done,
when by thy grace the victory's won,
e'en death's cold wave I will not flee,
since God through Jordan leadeth me.

He leadeth me, he leadeth me,
by his own hand he leadeth me;
his faithful follower I would be,
for by his hand he leadeth me.
