Dear Friends and Schoolmates,
How obscure must a Christmas carol be for me never to have heard of it?? Apparently, no one on YouTube ever heard of it either, so no bonus video today.

From
Me
('65) of IL - 12/13/09 (altered
for date and repeated):
I feel strongly impressed today to ask
your fervent prayers on behalf of five people whose issues have not been
mentioned here before. What I'm actually requesting is
Five Christmas Miracles, as the various problems all need
to find a resolution by New Year's Eve. I know that's only 11 days away now, but
I also know among us there are some Mighty Prayer Warriors, and I would deeply
appreciate your efforts, as I'm sure would they!
Thank you all so very much - and
Merry Christmas!

From George Helliesen ('61) of MI -
12/19/09 - "Flower Delivery":
I truly believe in this. How many flowers end up at the funeral home and how many flowers did the dead person enjoy while they were alive? Here's an e-flower from me! Enjoy your day!
Flower Delivery .....
I would rather have
one rose and
a kind word from a friend
while I'm here, than a whole
truck load when I'm gone .
These Are For You !!!
Don't you know the
phrase ...
'Stop and Smell the Flowers' ???
Happiness keeps you
Sweet,
Trials keep you Strong,
Sorrows keep you Human,
Failures keep you Humble,
Success keeps you Glowing,
But .... Only Friends ....
Keep You Going !!!
Thank you, my friend, for being a part of my life,
whether you are a reason, a season or a lifetime.
Thank you so much, George!

Behold a Simple Tender Babe
BL. Saint Sir Robert Southwell, S.J. (c. 1561 – 21 Feb 1595) / Francis E. Monaghan, C.S.B.
Behold a simple, tender Babe,
In freezing winter night,
In homely manger trembling lies:
Alas! a piteous sight.
The inns are full; no man will yield
This little Pilgrim bed;
But forced He is with simple beasts
In crib to shroud His head.
Despise Him not for lying there;
First what He is inquire:
An orient pearl is often found
In depth of dirty mire.
Weigh not His crib, His wooden dish,
Nor beasts that by Him feed;
Weigh not His mother's poor attire,
Nor Joseph's simple weed.
This stable is a Prince's court,
This crib His chair of state,
The beasts are parcel of His pomp,
The wooden dish His plate.
The persons in that poor attire
His royal liv'ries wear;
The Prince Himself is come from heav'n.
This pomp is prized there.
With joy approach, O Christian soul,
Do homage to thy King;
And highly praise this humble pomp,
Which He from heav'n doth bring.
