We have another sad edition of the NNHS Newsletter this Wednesday.
Merle Cobb, Class of
1956,
passed away in Newport News on Sunday, December 11, 2016,
at the age of 78.

NEWPORT NEWS - Merle Hilton Cobb, only son of Raleigh and Millie, left this world December 11, 2016 to be with them in the next. Born in 1938, he was a lifelong Peninsula resident. He was a proud Typhoon where he drummed in the marching band for five years. He retired after forty-one years at the Newport News Shipyard. He is survived by his wife, Joan of fifty-five years; his three children, Catherine, Robin, and Matthew; along with six granddaughters and two great-granddaughters. |
