William Kessler,
I never remember Bill being called Pete. His graduation was February 1948 at Newport News High School. The reason I know we were in the same class together. We joined the Air Force at the same time and at Lackland AFB at the same time. We were also at Scott AFB base at the same time going through Radio Mechanic School at the same time. Bill remained at Scott after finishing school as an instructor and I went to Korea. That was in October 1951 when we finished school. He ended up later in Japan. Bill was a great guy. He loved to brag about the fact we were in the AF and never had to go through basic training. True. There were so many at Lackland in January 1951 that we were only there 17 days until they shipped us out to Scott. We served our basic in the mess hall at Scott on KP. What a great memory but it wasn't the best then. Bill as I said was a great guy and very intelligent. His career was in electronics.
My sympathy goes out to the entire family and wish the best for all of them.

My heart goes out to you at this time and in the days ahead. Bill and I worked closely at DDL OMNI from 1992-2000; he was a mentor and guide as well as a good friend. His love for his family was a guiding star for his life, and I know he will be sorely missed.
