You know, Captain, I rather think she was!
When we first moved to Fayetteville nearly eight years ago, we would frequently pass a saloon near Fort Bragg with a large eye-catching sign called "FUBAR Tavern". Never having heard the term, I asked one of the young soldiers at church about its curious name. After some stammering and trying to dismiss me with, "It's, uh, a military acronym," he finally was able to deftly convey to me its actual meaning. It was some time later before I was to learn the meaning of Tango Uniform.
