Like Larry I went to
Newport News High School and also like Larry I was connected with
Virginia Specialty Stores though not a Principal certainly a
dedicated employee. Larry led by example and put his heart and soul
in to the business and I followed Larry's lead giving the store all
I had. Larry had a deep respect for his employees and attended the
retiree get together's that we had in the past. He acknowledged his
employees efforts and did not take for granted their part in making
Virginia Specialty Stores the success that it became. I wanted to
share this side of Larry's life which has not been spoken about yet.
My Mom and I are thinking of Blanche and her boys at this time and
we mourn the loss of Larry. May his memory always be for a blessing.
Sincerely, Ed Olshansky
