This is my daughter Laura's dog in a contest to be on the cover of a bag of dog food.

Vote every day for Grace. Thanks.

Oh, Laura is your daughter, Norris! Well, that makes it all the more important!

Grace was named the September 2010 People's Choice!  This is the last month we can vote for Grace - the last 31 days we have to make a difference.

It only takes about two seconds to cast your allotted daily vote)!!! <

Doncha wanna go shopping and spot Grace's image on a bag of dog food and know that YOU played a large part in placing her there?!?

From the President of the Class of 1965, Joe Wingo of NC - 12/03/10 - "       Paul (Harty - Bardolph HS, IL - '61 - of IL)":

I just read about Paul’s situation and wanted to add my best wishes for a complete and speedy recovery.

It sounded like he was in great hands and doing well.

You both will receive much uplifting from Typhoon Land, I am certain.

Thoughts and prayers are flowing your way.

Take care,

Thank you so much, Joe Sweetie, we really appreciate that! He's not well yet, and at times it feels as though it's starting up all over again, but he has another appointment with his local physician Monday morning, so we'll see how it goes.....

From Phil Hammond ('64) of UT - 12/03/10 - "RE: Chewy Coconut Macaroons":

... And an early Happy "Silly Season" (as Aussies often call it!), to you and your gorgeous family,

Hello, Possums!

As we segue into the "Silly Season," here's my small contribution to "Peace on Earth and Goodwill to all mankind..." brazenly ripped off from an American friend who kindly sent it to me.

With lots of love, Carla

may have...

Disturbed You,

Troubled You,

Pestered You,

Irritated You,

Bugged You,

Or got on your Nerves!!

So today, I just wanted to tell you

Suck it up, Cupcake!!

'Cause there

Planned for 2011!!

WILD GIGGLES! Thank you, Carla! Happy Hannukah!

From My Friend, Judy Bundy Bowermaster (Litchfield HS, IL - '59) of IL - 11/30/10 - "Christmas CanCan (your first card of the season?)":

Christmas CanCan (your first card of the season?)

The season begins...your first Christmas eCard (with some great music to get you in the spirit) click link and enjoy: - Christmas CanCan - Straight No Chaser - Lyrics and arrangement by Walter Chase

HOW DELIGHTFUL! Thanks, Judy - Merry Christmas! (I saved this for our second Hanukkah issue of the season for reasons which become obvious towards the end of the video.)

  From Wayne Agee ('58) of FL - 12/02/10 - "1950-1960 PHOTOS.... A better Time":

From My Husband, Paul Harty (Bardolph HS, IL - '61) of IL - 12/03/10 - "Baby Elephant rescue":

The wonders of nature..............and a mother's love.

Elephant Rescue

AWWW! Even knowing the outcome ahead of time, this made me nervous and antsy to watch. Poor little fella! I especially appreciated the way the rest of the herd helped the mama with the rescue. There are times we all need a little help!

   Thanks, Dools!

From Wayne Stokes ('65) of VA - 12/03/10, 9:38 AM - "Must see this beware" AND     From the Head Flagtwirler of 1965, Janice McCain Rose of Northern VA - 12/03/10, 10:47 AM - "BE CAREFUL":

FYI! If the crooks didn't know about this, after this report they will--and it will spread across the country. The symbol is on the back of the card.
We just checked our cards and one of them has this technology so I'm going to wrap in Reynolds Wrap®.

Another way to rip us off through the miracle of technology

YOWZERONI! Thanks, Sweeties! We saw this on TV the other night. Think of the plus side, though. Now you get to spend more time socializing in line while waiting for everyone to extricate their cards from the layers of aluminum foil. No, wait, that's not usually really a plus factor, is it?!?

From John London (Warwick HS - '57) of VA - 11/19/10 - "Newport News scenes." (#8 in a Series of 8):

  CarolDarlin -

I thought that you and the group might like to see a few images I made of Newport News scenes recently.

Hope you enjoy them.

- JohnDarlin

WOWZERONI! Thank you, John Darlin', they're beautiful!

And of course, I enjoy them; I only hope I've labeled them all correctly (more on that story later.....)!

From - Jewish Jokes:

An elderly woman from Brooklyn decided to prepare her will and make her final requests. She told her rabbi she had two final requests.
First, she wanted to be cremated, and second, she wanted her ashes scattered over Bloomingdales.

"Bloomingdales?" the rabbi exclaimed. "Why Bloomingdales?"

"Then I'll be sure my daughters visit me twice a week."

Who Can Retell?

Who can tell the things that befall us?
Who can count them?
In every age a hero or sage came to our aid!

Hark!  In days of yore, in Israel's ancient land,
Brave Maccabeas led the faithful band.
But now all Israel must as one arise.
Redeem itself through deed and sacrifice.

Who can tell the things that befall us?
Who can count them?
In every age a hero or sage came to our aid!

"Hear O'Israel! The Lord is our G-d, the Lord is One!"
