Brenda, It seems like
a long time ago when David was first in Riverside and I saw you.
I'm glad you've had many years of memories that will comfort you
in the coming days. I remember Dave being in the NNHS Marching
Band and seemed so quiet. All the time he was planning his next
joke. He was one of a kind. My prayers are with you and your
family at this most difficult time.

Dear Brenda; I am not
sure you will even remember me. I went to school with you and David
back in the 50's. I went to Magruder Elementary and Walter Reed.
Heavens, that was a lifetime ago. I did meet up with David when we
worked for THE telephone Co. for many years but I wasn't close. I
really didn't know he married Brenda Todd until I read his obituary
on line. I am so sorry to hear of David's death and my heart goes
out to you and your family. I remember you well from school but my
family moved from the area in the late 50's and moved up to the
Hidenwood area and I lost most contact with the old group from
Newport News. I wanted to come to the memorial service but I teach
water aerobics at Riverside Wellness center and I didn't have enough
time to get someone to sub for me. Please accept my condolences and
my prayers for you and your family .God bless you all . Judy Ware

Hi Brenda,
I don't know if you remember me but way back when you and Judy
Halsey were the Acteen leaders (or some sort of teen girl group) at
Deer Park Baptist. I remember having a sleepover at your house one
night. Why I remember something 30 years ago and can't remember
something 3 weeks ago is beyond me.
Anyway, although I never really knew David that well, I'm so very
sorry for your loss and will be thinking of you in the days ahead,
especially with Christmas so close. If you have internet and would
like to keep in touch, that'd be great. I'm also on Facebook.
Love and prayers,

Just As I Am
Words by Charlotte Elliott, 1835
Music by William B. Bradbury, 1849
Just as I am, without one plea,
But that Thy blood was shed for me,
And that Thou bidst me come to Thee,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, and waiting not
To rid my soul of one dark blot,
To Thee whose blood can cleanse each spot,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, though tossed about
With many a conflict, many a doubt,
Fightings and fears within, without,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind;
Sight, riches, healing of the mind,
Yea, all I need in Thee to find,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, Thou wilt receive,
Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve;
Because Thy promise I believe,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, Thy love unknown
Hath broken every barrier down;
Now, to be Thine, yea, Thine alone,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.
Just as I am, of that free love
The breadth, length, depth, and height to prove,
Here for a season, then above,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!
