November 15, 2016 Our deepest condolences to Carroll and Bill. We are praying for you; may the Lord grant you peace and comfort today, and the days to come. ~ Mike and Gina Williams, Newport News, Virginia November 21, 2016
Every Friday when we
delivered meals to the elderly shut-ins in the town of Robbins,
we saw you, both of you, and were so moved by your love of the
elders, the dedication of delivering food to the shut-ins, and
knowing that it was your mission as a couple. That is
astoundingly loving and inspirational. We enjoyed the times that
we shared together having a little fun time, especially the
church supper and night of entertainment at Cathy Lewis's
church. Singing nuns. Singing children angels. Lots of smiles
and joy!
November 21, 2016 Dear Carrol, Our hearts go out to you at this time. Richard was a wonderful man and the two of you an unbelievably wonderful couple. God Bless him and you and all in your family, November 30, 2016

Lead, Kindly Light
Lyrics by John Henry Newman, 1833
Music by John B. Dykes, 1865
Lead, kindly Light, amid th’encircling gloom,
Lead Thou me on!
The night is dark, and I am far from home;
Lead Thou me on!
Keep Thou my feet; I do not ask to see
The distant scene; one step enough for me.
I was not ever thus, nor prayed that Thou
Shouldst lead me on;
I loved to choose and see my path; but now
Lead Thou me on!
I loved the garish day, and, spite of fears,
Pride ruled my will. Remember not past years!
So long Thy power hath blessed me, sure it will,
Will lead me on.
O’er moor and fen, o’er crag and torrent, till
The night is gone,
And with the morn those angel faces smile,
Which I have loved long since, and lost awhile!
Meantime, along the narrow rugged path,
Thyself hast trod,
Lead, Savior, lead me home in childlike faith,
Home to my God.
To rest forever after earthly strife
In the calm light of everlasting life.
