We are so
very sorry to hear of your loss and hope that you
find comfort in knowing how many friends are
thinking of you at this sad time.
Curly, I am so sorry for
Betty and the rest of your family. I know they will miss you dearly.
Curly and Betty were always together; where you found one, the other
was also there. There was no way you could know one and not know the
other. Betty, everyone that knew you and Curly (you know us old
telephone people) hold you in our hearts and our prayers are with
you and your family. God Bless you all.
~ Judy Buchanan, Newport News, Virginia

Betty, Betsy, and Patsy,
On this Thanksgiving Eve, we learned of Curly's passing. We are sad, but thankful to have some wonderful memories of him from the cruise we took some years ago. We will remember him always smiling and chewing his gum. He brought smiles and laughter to others wherever he went. Remember, we are next door if you need us. God bless you and comfort you! Jerry and Judy ~ Jerry & Judy Allen, Newport News, Virginia ![]() ~ Julie and Steve White, Hampton, Virginia

I was heartbroken to learn that Uncle Curly has passed away on Sunday. Kathleen and I really enjoyed seeing you all at Sandy's Reception and I've thought of you often since then. Uncle Curly had such a buoyant spirit and a wonderful, playful sense of humor. Our prayers are with you. Bill and Kathleen Ashe

Jesus, Savior, Pilot Me
Words by Edward Hopper
Music by John E. Gould, 1871
Jesus Savior, pilot me over life's tempestuous sea;
Unknown waves before me roll, hiding rock and treacherous shoal;
Chart and compass came from Thee; Jesus, Savior, pilot me.
As a mother stills her child, Thou canst hush the ocean wild;
Boisterous waves obey Thy will, when Thou say'st to them "Be still!"
Wondrous Sov'reign of the sea, Jesus, Savior, pilot me.
When at last I near the shore and the fearful breakers roar,
'Twixt me and the peaceful rest; then, while leaning on Thy breast,
May I hear Thee say to me, "Fear not, I will pilot thee."
