Incredibly, there is more sad news this morning.
Bob Pauley,
brother of
Conrad Pauley ('64), passed away in Newport News on Monday,
November 17, 2008 at the age of 68.

Linda Lane Lane ('64 - of VA),
alerted me that there are two additional obits in the Saturday Daily
Press: Former NNHS counselor,
Sarah
Owen ... and
Robert Thomas Pauley Sr., the brother of NNHS 64 classmate,
Conrad Pauley.
I'm very sorry to hear this,
David - and that I was so numb from all the recent deaths that I missed reading
it yesterday. Thank you so much, David - and
Linda.

HAMPTON - Robert "Big Bob" Thomas
Pauley Sr., 68, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, at Riverside Regional Medical
Center. Born in Bassett, Va., he had resided on the Peninsula for the past 63 years. He retired from NASA in 2005 with 26 years of service as a Millwright. Big Bob lived life to the fullest and had a lifelong passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles. He deeply loved his children, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Con Pauley. He is survived by his
mother, Ila Mae Pauley of Newport News; sons, Robert T. Pauley Jr., Richard
L. Pauley, both of Hampton and Rodney G. Pauley of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.;
his daughter, Rebecca K. Lawrence of N.Y.; his brother, Conrad Pauley and
seven grandchildren. |

The family will receive friends
from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, at Weymouth Funeral Home. A graveside
service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, at Peninsula Memorial
