Chucky, as we all knew him, graduated with me from NNHS. He had that infectious smile which was a shining light for all his friends. This was so hard to read this morning. My deepest sympathy to the family, and all for losing such a wonderful person. I am so blessed to have been his friend.

In reading today's obituaries, seeing the nickname 'Chuckie' confirmed . . . this picture was indeed, one of the younger guys who brought their basketball skills to the 'Rec' on 29th and Wickham Avenue, back in the proverbial day.

It has been, Lo! over forty years . . . thoughts are with Chuckie's family, as he now, ever/ rests from labor to reward.

Wow, can't believe you're really gone, but I'm glad you don't have to suffer anymore. I hope the rest of the family was there to help welcome you home when you got to the pearly gates. I love and miss you, Uncle.

Really missing you right now, but I know that you are in a much better place. I going to miss calling you old man and listening to you tell us to do better and take care of ourselves. I hope the family was there to welcome you into the pearly gates. I can see you now with your parents and brother having a great time. I love you, Uncle Chuckie, R.I.P.

 Onward Christian Soldiers

Words by Sabine Baring Gould in Church Times, 1865

Music (St. Gertrude) by Arthur S. Sullivan, 1871

Onward Christian soldiers,
Marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus
Going on before!
Christ, the royal Master,
Leads against the foe;
Forward into battle,
See His banner go!

Chorus:
Onward, Christian soldiers,
Marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus
Going on before!

2. At the sign of triumph
Satan's host doth flee;
On, then, Christian soldiers,
On to victory!
Hell's foundation quiver
At the shout of praise;
Brothers, lift your voices,
Loud your anthems raise!
Chorus:

3. Like a mighty army
Moves the church of God;
Brothers, we are treading
Where the saints have trod;
We are not divided;
All one body we
One in hope and doctrine,
One in charity.
Chorus:

4. Onward, then, ye people,
Join our happy throng,
Blend with ours your voices
In the triumph song;
Glory, laud, and Honor,
Unto Christ the King;
This thro' countless ages
Men and angels sing.
Chorus:
