Charles
and family, you are in my thoughts and prayers
during this time. I loved Virginia more than words
can say. She has been my "mom away from home" for
many years. She brought me much love and happiness.
What a fine lady! I will miss her dearly but will
always remember the joyful times I shared with her.
Jud and I will be here to help you with any need or
word of comfort. Your family will always remain
special to us in the days to come.
November 11, 2012 Virginia was
always one of those behind the scenes workers. She never wanted to
be noticed for her good deeds but she was the strength behind so
many activities at Orcutt. Enjoy your new home in heaven, Virginia,
but know that we will always love you and have missed being with you
for some time. November 11, 2012
Charles and
family...David and I loved both your mother and father. They
were very special to us. We loved visiting them. It was always a
lot of fun going on trips with them while we served at Orcutt
Baptist Church. Your mom made a "mean" chocolate éclair
cake....that we ALL enjoyed. Virginia was loved by many and will
be missed. God bless you. We are so thankful, also, for Jud and
Mary Hudson who so faithfully loved and cared for your mother. ~ David and Loraine Hughes, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina November 11, 2012 I don't know if this was my 5th grade teacher Mrs. Cash or not. She taught at Brairfield. If it is. she was a very good teacher. Her love of her students showed in her work. ~ Unsigned November 11, 2012 I saw and talked with
Virginia several times when I was visiting my daughter. She was a
real special lady. November 12, 2012 Our thoughts and
prayers go to Charles, and our thanks go to all who have helped take
care of Virginia over the years. She was a special lady who loved
her son and husband. Rest in peace Virginia. With much love, Joe,
Pam, Brian and Mary Helen. November 12, 2012 G November 12, 2012

Lead Me Gently Home
Words and Music
by Will L. Thompson, 1879
(07 Nov 1847 - 20 Sept 1909)
Lead me gently home, Father,
Lead me gently home;
When life’s toils are ended,
And parting days have come,
Sin no more shall tempt me,
Ne’er from Thee I’ll roam,
If Thou’ll only lead me, Father,
Lead me gently home.
* Refrain:
Lead me gently home, Father,
Lead me gently home, Father,
Lest I fall upon the wayside,
Lead me gently home.
Lead me gently home, Father,
Lead me gently home;
In life’s darkest hours, Father,
When life’s troubles come,
Keep my feet from wand’ring,
Lest from Thee I roam,
Lest I fall upon the wayside,
Lead me gently home.
