of MA - 11/06/09 - "USAA CEO Announces Expanded Member Eligibility":
Thought you might be interested in
this, since
Dale (Harty

IL / American School, IL - '02 - of MA)
told me that you and
Paul (Harty - Bardolph HS, IL -
'61 - of IL) and your children weren't able to take advantage of this way back
in the day. Dale and
Buckley and I are all registered and
do quite a bit of our business with them, and we've had a really good experience
and think you may as well, if you choose. Anyway, here you go!
Dear Mrs. Harty: https://www.usaa.com/inet/ent_utils/McStaticPages?key=why_choose_usaa_main USAA membership is a privilege earned by those in uniform and it's a privilege that can be handed down to their children. Have questions about joining? Call 1-800-531-6597 |
Thanks so much, Diana!
As this is a new service
being provided, I thought I'd "share it with the class!"

From Ruth Ann Reece Horace ('67) of FL - 11/06/09 - "What is confidence?":
| What is confidence? A hypothetical situation where 20 CEOs board an airplane and are told that the flight that they are about to take is the first-ever to feature pilotless technology: It is an uncrewed aircraft. Each one of the CEOs is then told, privately, that their company's software is running the aircraft's automatic pilot system. Nineteen of the CEOs promptly leave the aircraft, each offering a different type of excuse. One CEO alone remains on board the jet, seeming very calm indeed. Asked why he is so confident in this first uncrewed flight, he replies: If it is the same software that developed by my company's IT systems department, this plane won't even take off!!!! ." That is called Confidence!!!

From
ArcaMax
Jokes - 11/06/09:
Police Quotes
"The handcuffs are tight because they're new. They'll stretch out after you wear
them awhile."
"If you run, you'll only go to jail tired."
"So, you don't know how fast you were going. I guess that means I can write
anything I want on the ticket, huh?"
"Yes sir, you can talk to the shift supervisor, but I don't think it will help.
Oh, did I mention that I am the shift supervisor?"
"Warning! You want a warning? O.K., I'm warning you not to do that again or I'll
give you another ticket."
"The answer to this last question will determine whether you are drunk or not.
Was Mickey Mouse a cat or dog?"
"Yeah, we have a quota. Two more tickets and my wife gets a toaster oven."
"Life's tough, it's tougher if you're stupid."
"No sir, we don't have quotas anymore. We used to have quotas, but now we're
allowed to write as many tickets as we want."
"Just how big were those two beers?
