Friends and Schoolmates,
We have still more sad news this Friday morning. Julia Bland
Sauls, mother of
Bonnie Sauls Lovedahl ('65) of VA and Davey Sauls of AL, and
mother-in-law of Jimmy Lovedahl ('61) of VA, passed away in Newport
News on Tuesday, November 01, 2011 at the age of 89.

NEWPORT NEWS - Julia
Bland Sauls, 89, born Aug. 21, 1922, went home to be with her Lord
Jesus Christ Nov. 1, 2011.
She was a native of Durham, N.C., and resident of the Peninsula for most of her life. Julia is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Bertha Bland; and her husband of 32 years, 1st Sgt. Earl J. Sauls, Ret. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie S. Lovedahl and husband, Jimmy of Newport News; one son, Davey M. Sauls and wife, Barbara of Huntsville, Ala.; one sister, six brothers; five grandchildren, Jennifer Gregory, Mary Saulman, Lori L. Marrow, Cristie Lovedahl-Steele, Melissa L. Oakley; and 15 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at Hampton Memorial Gardens officiated by the Rev. Charles Hughes.
