Dear Friends and Schoolmates,
This lovely sad song from 2001 (for which I could find no midi file) has been replaying in my mind all week.
Today would have been
From Malcolm
Davis ('65)
of VA - 10/18/14 - "Typhoon SOS":
Carol,
Umm. ah, certainly! Thank you,
Malcolm!
This is what is known
in strictly scientific terms as "SAY, WHAT?!?"
One year ago this very month, he fell blessedly and silently into my email account "as the dew from heaven distilling," but did not ask to be added to my mailing list. I then assumed he was one of the scores of alumni and others who have bookmarked that page, and prefer just to read the Newsletters each day (or at their leisure) without being annoyed by my daily announcements clogging their inboxes (as many more of y'all clearly prefer). In one form or another Bob's been seen on our pages for several years. As his birthday was one of only five or six I could actually remember from The Olden Days of yore, Bobby's name was one of the first to appear on our Birthday Page when it was added to the site on 07/21/04, and we've been celebrating his birthday together every February 19 since then. Of course you may find him on the Band pages, especially the 1962 page, as well as the Buckroe Beach Amusement Park Page within the Our Old Stomping Grounds section. I've added Bob's name to the Alumni Page for the Class of 1962, and the Contact Page for his class as well, though his email addy will be kept private unless he gives me specific permission to post it.
Welcome (officially) aboard, Bobby!

Far left bottom is my sister Jeanne who is now married to Dan Adams. If anyone wants the names of the rest I can probably give them. Thought you'd like the pic of Norris. He was such a fan. |
