My thoughts and
prayers are with the family. I will always remember during
my high school days of being a guest in the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Hodnett. I remember particularly going there on a
Halloween for a party and the efforts that were made to make
the home a "scary" place to visit. He was a very nice man
and I am glad I had the chance to know him.

He was an accomplished man and active Christian! October 13, 2013 It was
an honor and a privilege to know Howard and "be part of your family"
over all these years. We will miss him greatly, but find comfort in
your telling us that Howard had accepted this eventuality after
attending recent sessions with you. October 13, 2013 Sympathy to the Hodnett family.
First Baptist Church. October 13, 2013 Sorry
to hear of Howard's passing. He and Mable were great friends to me.
We all traveled to many places together in the 40&8 when I was
National Commander. Went to many car shows with him. He was a true
veteran and will be missed by many. October 14, 2013 Thank you for all the kind words. My grandfather will be greatly
missed. His spirit will carry on through those that knew him. Octo ber 14, 2013 Mr. Hodnett assisted us on several occasions with the restoration of our department's first fire engine. He was a great gentleman and fun to be around.- Chris Sadler Battalion Chief York County Fire and Life Safety ~ Chris Sadler, Newport News, Virginia October 14, 2013 I loved this dear man, and most of all enjoyed getting that big hug every week here at First Baptist Church. Otis would help in the food pantry and pack bags on a weekly basis. I really missed him when I could not go down and see him. He will surely be missed here and especially at XYZ. I just can't imagine not seeing him here. I know that he is happy now and rejoined with his Mable. Thank you, Otis, for your friendship to me.
