Dear Friends and Schoolmates,
We have even more sad news today.
Cynthia Wagner Carter, Class of 196_, passed away
at the Madison Retirement Center in Williamsburg
on Friday, October 2, 2009. Her siblings include Ferd Wagner ('66?) of
Northern VA, John Wagner of VA, and Mary Wagner Smucker of PA.
Cynthia's father, the Rev. Ferd Wagner, was the pastor at Noland Memorial Methodist Church for many years, and I actually remember Cynthia and and her brother, Ferdy, more clearly from combined Methodist Youth Fellowship activities than I do from school.

Dear Wagner Family,
It was with great sadness this morning I read about the passing of Cindy. I had not seen her in along time but when I did, she never forgot my family on Huntington Avenue. A lifetime has passed, but the great memories of the Wagner family at Noland will always be a wonderful memory. I pray that God will keep you close to his heart during this difficult time and that he will continue to bless your family in the days to come.

Our sincerest condolences are extended to Cynthia's family and their friends.

Come, Ye Disconsolate
Words by Thomas
Moore; alt. by Thomas Hastings
Music by Samuel Webbe
Come, ye disconsolate, where'er ye languish.
Come to the mercy seat, fervently kneel.
Here bring your wounded hearts, here tell your anguish;
Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.
Joy of the desolate, light of the straying,
Hope of the penitent, fadeless and pure!
Here speaks the Comforter, tenderly saying,
"Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot cure."
Here see the bread of life; waters flowing
Forth from the throne of God, pure from above.
Come to the feast of love; come, ever knowing
Earth has no sorrow but heaven can remove.
