We
have even more sad news to report today.
Bill Early,
Class of @ 1949, passed
away in Newport News on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at the age of 83.

NEWPORT
NEWS - Heaven rejoiced at the homecoming of William L. Early, September
23, 2014, Bill was born in Newport News, Virginia on February 17, 1931.
After graduating from Newport News High School, he served his country in the U.S. Army and served in Korea. He retired from the C & O Railroad after 43 years. Bill was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 50 years and Warwick Moose Lodge for 35 years. Bill was a lifelong member of Northside Christian Church. Bill is survived by his wife Shirley Bunting Early, his two children; son, W. Kent Early and his wife, Mandy; his daughter, Cheryl Ann Early; three grandchildren, Sydney Nicole Early, Christopher Dalton Early and Harbour Louanna Early; brother, Valrey (Bud) Early and his wife, Bonnie; four sisters-in-law: Sarah Atkins, Elizabeth Tasker, Katheryn Deihl, and Beckie Midgett; and brother-in-law, Frank Fisher; also many nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Valrey L. Early and Mildred F. Early, and his wife of 43 years, Louanna Fisher Early. |

The family would like to thank the nurses, staff and hospice staff at York Convalescent Home for all the care they gave Bill during his time there. A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 27th at Peninsula Funeral Home, from 4:00 - 5:30 pm. The service will be Sunday, September 28th at Northside Christian Church at 2:00. Burial will follow at Peninsula Memorial at gravesite. Refreshments at the church from 1:30-2:00.
Expressions of sympathy may take place in the form of contributions to Northside
Christian Church Building Fund, 1300 George Washington Memorial Highway,
Yorktown, VA 23693.

September 26, 2014 Bill was a longtime true and trusted friend always ready to help others and always ready to hit the dance floor.
