09/25/14 - NNHS Newsletter - Happy Rosh Hashanah!

Shana Tova - May you be inscribed in the Book of Life!

Dear Friends and Schoolmates,

The Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, began last evening at sunset, ushering in the High Holidays (Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and Sukkot).

   http://www.timeanddate.com/holidays/us/rosh-hashana

This Holiday celebration repeats around this same time every year.  No doubt most of us are probably not personally observing this holiday, but we don't concern ourselves with such trifling details such as that here.  We try to celebrate everything together as the one big happy family that we are.  So we extend all our best wishes for all good things for all our friends and family!

   Happy Rosh Hashanah!

I'm not Mormon, but my in-laws are. and you don't have to be Mormon to appreciate this Olympic athlete's story about what happened at a photo shoot when she was asked to "sex it up." What a well spoken young woman. Admirable! (I wish I could have her with me at every shoot I am asked to do...!)

"My name is George," said the first boy, "and I threw peanuts into the elephant pen."

"My name is Pete," said the second boy, "and I threw peanuts into the elephant pen."
