Dear Friends and Schoolmates,
I heard this
lovely old Nat King Cole 1952 classic on TV recently, and thought it'd be perfect
for today's Newsletter.

"Pretend" is a popular song, written in 1952 by Lew Douglas, Cliff Parman, and Frank Levere.
The best-known recording, by Nat King Cole was released by Capitol Records as catalog number 2346. It first reached the Billboard magazine Best Seller chart on January 31, 1953 and lasted 20 weeks on the chart, peaking at #3. [1]

| Hello, everybody! Just a quick note to let you know that Jerry’s surgery went well. He is napping. The doc said that he had a little more work to do than expected, but that all went well and he can do things as he starts to feel like it...that is slowly and gradually. Of course, he can NOT lift and do heavy work for several weeks. He can come home tomorrow and sit in his new chair that was just delivered. He just needs to rest tonight and the weekend. We aren’t sure how the pain level will be for the next few days. I will keep you posted. Thanks for the prayers! They are working. God Bless you all! J & J Jerry will stay
an additional night at the hospital for precautionary measures. They
want to keep him close to watch the drainage from the incision.

WHEN:
People grumble about Noah letting coyotes on the ark.
The preacher says, "I'd like to ask Bubba to help take up the collection
offering" and five guys stand up.
The restrooms are outside.
Opening day of deer season is recognized as an official church holiday.
A member of the church requests to be buried in his 4-wheel drive truck
because "It ain't never been in a hole it couldn't get out of."
When it rains, everyone is smiling.
Prayers regarding the weather are standard practice.
The Choir group is known as the "OK Chorale".
The Pastor wears boots.
Four generations of the same family sit together in worship.
There is no such thing as a secret sin.
Baptism is referred to as "branding".
There is a special fund raiser for a new septic tank.
Finding and returning lost sheep isn't just a parable.
