“One can never tell what will be the result of faithful service rendered, nor do we know when it will come back to us or to those with whom we are associated. The reward may not come at the time, but in dividends later. I believe we will never lose anything in life by giving service, by making sacrifices, and doing the right thing.”

- Heber J. Grant

NEWS FLASH:

    From My #6 Son, Dale Harty, (Hillsboro HS, IL / American School, IL - '02) of CA - 09/18/16, @ 11:30 AM - "It's a Girl!":

This is what Diana (Lyons Harty (Portsmouth HS, NH / Eastlake HS, CA - '05) did today. I'm so proud of her. She makes beautiful babies.

Hannah Marie Harty was born at home at 9:07 AM, weighing 8 lbs., 1 oz.., and was 22" long. Owing to her long fingers and toes, dark hair and eyes, we gave her Diana's middle name Marie.

We let Willow get that close because as Diana's service dog, she was trying to be present to comfort her while she was hurting. She was a rock star.

Diana and Hannah are both doing very well and spending all day cuddling, which, I think everyone can agree, is the best way to recover.

Off We Go Into the Wild Blue Yonder

Written by
Robert MacArthur Crawford (27 July 1899 - 12 Mar 1961), 1939

Off we go into the wild blue yonder
Climbing high into the sun;
Here they come zooming to meet our thunder,
At'em boys, giv'er the gun!
Down we dive spouting our flames from under,
Off with one hell-uv-a roar!
We live in fame or go down in flame,
Nothing'll stop the US Air Force!

Minds of men fashioned a crate of thunder
Sent it high into the blue
Hands of men blasted the world asunder,
How they live God only knew!
Souls of men dreaming of skies to conquer
Gave us wings ever to soar,
With scouts before and bombers galore,
Nothing can stop the US Air Force!

Here's a toast to the host of those who love the vastness of the sky,
To a friend we send the message of his brother men who fly.
We drink to those who gave their all of old,
Then down we roar to score the rainbow's pot of gold.
A toast to the host of men we boast the US Air Force.
Off we go into the wild sky yonder,
Keep the wings level and true!

If you'd live to be a gray haired wonder,
Keep your nose out of the blue!
Flying men guarding our nation's borders,
We'll be there followed by more,
In echelon we carry on!
Nothing'll stop the US Air Force!
