Dear Friends and Schoolmates,   

   There is more sad news to report this Sunday.   Ellis Wasserman, brother of the late Ilene Wasserman Dillard ('66) and Marcia Wasserman Lawrence ('68), passed away in Newport News on Wednesday, September 07, 2017 at the age of 73. 

   His mother, Cecilia Perzekow Wasserman, Class of June 1941, also preceded him in death.

   May his memory be for a blessing always.

NEWPORT NEWS - Ellis Lyle Wasserman, 73, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2017.

He retired in 2013 as a rigger at Newport News Shipbuilding with 42 years of service.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley E. Wasserman and is survived by one son, Anthony D. Wasserman of Newport News, five grandchildren, Cody, Austin, Noah, Nicholas, and Tylor; and three great-grandchildren, Dominic, Gabriella, and McKenzie.

Services will be private.

Arrangements are by Weymouth Funeral Home.

I have known Ellis and his family over 20 years, and I remember all the jokes Ellis told. Ellis will be sadly missed, but he will be another Angel watching over his family. Dean and Heidi, you are in my thoughts and prayer. Love you. R.I.P., Ellis
