Dear Friends and Schoolmates,
  There is even more sad news today.   Donna Keranen Baber, the Head Cheerleader of 1954 as well as the Most Popular Girl in her class, sister of Joe Keranen, passed away in Hampton on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at the age of 74.

			NEWPORT NEWS - Donna Keranen Baber, 74, passed away Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, in Hampton. She was born in Oklahoma City, Okla., Dec. 10, 1935. Mrs. Baber, was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Hampton. She was a graduate of Newport News High School, Riverside Hospital School of Nursing and completed the Nurse Anesthesia Program at Norfolk General Hospital. Survivors include her husband, Dr. Bruce A. Baber; her sons, Joe, Jim, John and Jeff; and her brother, Joe Keranen.
