From Brownie Shaffer Haracivet

- "Another from the NNHS Class of 1962????":
Thanks for bringing this to my attention,
Brownie; I would not have recognized it.
I am extremely loath to publish anything about this yet, until we determine
if it is actually the same man - and because of the Labor Day weekend, we
will have a slight delay.....
Thank you for checking. Due to the
holiday weekend I have not heard from any of my other classmates regarding
Mitchell. I really feel it is him but I also do not want to list him as
"gone" until indeed we learn at it is him.
Take care,
Brownie

May you find some solace and comfort in the memories of good times
shared together and the knowledge that Mickey is now at peace.
~ Debbie Kercher, Newport News, Virginia September 03, 2010 To know Mickey is to know he
was a man of few words, but one of the only people in the world that would
give you the shirt off of his back and fix your car better than when you
bought it. My prayers go out to Brenda and the family. Mickey will be sadly
missed, and I know I will miss those wild comments he always made. I do know
in my heart there will be a Big-Block Chevy motor in a Hotrod with a man
eating mints watching over Brenda and her entire family everyday. I WILL
MISS YOU MICK. JESSE HEWITT II, NNFD September 07, 2010 September 07, 2010
Brenda, just to let you know you are in my prayers. May you find comfort in
knowing Mickey is in a better place. May the memories you two shared help
ease your pain. God be with you. September 08, 2010

Abide With Me
Words by Henry F. Lyte, 1847
Music by William H. Monk, 1861
Abide with me; fast falls the
eventide;
The darkness deepens; Lord with me abide.
When other helpers fail and comforts flee,
Help of the helpless, O abide with me.
Swift to its close ebbs out life's little day;
Earth's joys grow dim; its glories pass away;
Change and decay in all around I see;
O Thou who changest not, abide with me.
Not a brief glance I beg, a passing word,
But as Thou dwell'st with Thy disciples, Lord,
Familiar, condescending, patient, free.
Come not to sojourn, but abide with me.
Come not in terrors, as the King of kings,
But kind and good, with healing in Thy wings;
Tears for all woes, a heart for every plea.
Come, Friend of sinners, thus abide with me.
Thou on my head in early youth didst smile,
And though rebellious and perverse meanwhile,
Thou hast not left me, oft as I left Thee.
On to the close, O Lord, abide with me.
I need Thy presence every passing hour.
What but Thy grace can foil the tempter's power?
Who, like Thyself, my guide and stay can be?
Through cloud and sunshine, Lord, abide with me.
I fear no foe, with Thee at hand to bless;
Ills have no weight, and tears no bitterness.
Where is death's sting? Where, grave, thy victory?
I triumph still, if Thou abide with me.
Hold Thou Thy cross before my closing eyes;
Shine through the gloom and point me to the skies.
Heaven's morning breaks, and earth's vain shadows flee;
In life, in death, O Lord, abide with me.
