Dear Friends and Schoolmates,
This golden oldie popped into my head again recently.....
BONUS - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZEcRyJf704 - Who Can I Turn To? - Anthony Newley, 1965
From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Who_Can_I_Turn_To%3F:
"Who Can I Turn To?" is a
popular
song. It was written by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley and published in 1964. The song was introduced in the musical The Roar of the Greasepaint—the Smell of the Crowd, which struggled in the United Kingdom in 1964 and then made a tour of the United States later that year. In 1964 Shirley Bassey recorded the song and released it as a single, however it failed to chart. Recorded by Tony Bennett, "Who Can I Turn To?" became a hit, reaching number 33 on the U.S. pop singles chart and the top 5 of the Adult Contemporary chart. So fueled, the musical arrived on Broadway for a successful run, and the song became one of Bennett's staples. |

YOWZERONI!
Thanks, Guys!
![]() ![]()
I, of course, did not
personally venture outside, so I was just fine and dandy.
I
did briefly entertain the thought of stepping out on the front porch
just to see if it really was as hot as the weather reports were
indicating, but at that very moment the thunderstorms hit (that's me
sitting at my PC in that orange zone!), and my intellectual curiosity
suddenly diminished to a remarkable degree....

These 53 Colorized Photos From
The Past Will Blow You Away. Especially The One Of Albert Einstein.
Up until the 1970s, color photography
was extremely rare, and so when we think about history prior to that
time, we often envision it in black and white. Today’s technology now
enables us to “colorize” historical photos, giving us our only chance at
seeing what the world really looked like back then. And it was truly
spectacular. http://boredomtherapy.com/colorized-history-photos/
COOL! Thanks so much, Billy!

I tried roast in the crock pot several times and had many bad results before I finally found one that worked. This is so easy. I get everything ready the night before, and put it on in the morning. It's great if you work all day, because it's done when you get home. The longer you cook it, the more tender it is!"
