Dear Sarah,
I was so saddened to learn of your sweet Mother's death yesterday, yet I rejoice with you in knowing that she now is in the presence of our God and Savior. I really appreciate your call to tell me about it - especially since you were still in those early moments of grief. I am so very glad we have connected again after all these years since my family moved to Lynchburg in 1960 and we were in the 7th grade at Jackson. Please know that Ken & I will be praying for you and the family often and that the Lord will comfort you in your sorrow as only He can do!
Much love, Mary Helen (Simms) Patterson

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Your mother always loved to say hi to the kids, and even though we didn't see her out much, the kids always made sure to say hello when they did see her. I am sorry we never got to know her better.

Sarah, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. We weren't close friends in high school but I do remember you. Having lost my Mother in July I know the pain you must be feeling. The wonderful blessing of knowing you will be with your Mother again in Heaven will help you through this terrible grief. Try to remember the good times and the funny things you shared with her, it will help.

Helen and Sarah, At this sad time both of you are in my prayers. I didn't see your mother as often as I would have liked, but each time that I did created fond memories of your mother. She was most gracious and kind at our wedding and at her granddaughter - Sara's wedding.

Sarah,
My prayers are with you and all of the family. I remember our years at Calvary and when we lived near each other while in Jackson School. Your mom was a very kind and gentle woman. Be assured that she is with your dad now and they are going to be looking out for the family until you can all be together again...

Sarah,
I was so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I remember her and your Dad as depicted in the photo from your Dad's Navy days that is on the NNHS 65 website. She always seemed to have a smile for everyone and I know that she is in a better place than this old earth that we are still in. Please accept our deepest condolences in your loss.

Thank you, Carol!!  The midi is of course, Handel, but the words are a scripture that Mom picked out for Saturday!!

 .....Thanks again.

Sarah

I had a strong feeling it was just the right music, but it's even better than I had thought.  Thank you for letting me know.  I'm sorry I cannot be there with you, but I'll send my love instead.

Y'all take good care of each other!  TYPHOONS FOREVER!

No. 45 - I Know That My Redeemer Liveth

- G. F. Handel

I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth.
And though worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God.

(Job 19:25-26)

For now is Christ risen from the dead, the first fruits of them that sleep.

(I Corinthians 15:20)
