We have still more sad news this Sunday. 
Catherine Satchell Kutschinski, Class of February 1939,
passed away in Newport
News on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at the age of 92.

NEWPORT NEWS - Catherine Satchell Kutschinski, 92, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2013. Catherine was born on May 9, 1921 in Warwick County to George L. Satchell and Annie Fisher Satchell, one of eight children. A native and lifelong Newport News resident, she graduated from Newport News High School, and also graduated from the nursing program at Elizabeth Buxton Hospital in 1942. She retired in 1983 as a nurse at E. Alton Lindsay Junior High School. |

She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Kutschinski, and is survived by nine nieces and nephews, Walter Satchell (Jane), Barbara Hatcher (Rick), Judy Grigg (Wayne), Bobby Satchell (Ellen), Will Satchell (Karen), John Satchell (Pat), Dick Satchell (Susan), Jane McAllister (Charlie), and Donnie Woodall (Diane); and one sister-in-law, Jane P. Satchell. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM on Monday, August 26, 2013 at North Riverside Baptist Church, with a funeral service immediately following at 11 AM with Rev. Walter Satchell, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park.
