Charlie Bowen, Sr.,
father of
Charlie
Bowen ('62) of VA and father-in-law of 
Fostine Dowless Bowen ('64) of VA, passed away
in Newport News on Monday, August 05, 2013, at the age of 91.

NEWPORT NEWS - Charlie Lewis Bowen, Sr., 91, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2013. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during WWII as a gunner in Africa. Survivors include a son, Charlie Lewis Bowen, Jr. and his wife, Fostine, of Newport News; two grandchildren, Sherry Thacker and her husband, Jim, of Hampton, and Sharon Skelly and her husband, Rory, of Florida; and three great-grandchildren, Tory, Jessica and Nik.
