Dear Friends and Schoolmates,   

    We have more sad news today.  Eddie Richman, Class of February 1945, passed away in Newport News on Saturday, August 02, 2011, at the age of 84.  May his memory be for a blessing always.

He was in the Class of Feb. 1945.

NEWPORT NEWS - Edwin B. 'Eddie' Richman, 84, passed away Saturday, Aug. 2, 2011.

He was a lifelong resident of Newport News. Eddie retired from Insurance Sales and was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII as well as a member of Adath Jeshurun Synagogue.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Harriett S. Richman; two daughters, Cynthia Darlow Ferrone and her husband, Richard of Manhattan, N.Y., Christine Darlow Eberhard and her husband, David of Roanoke, Va.; one sister, Evelyn M. Richman of Newport News; one brother, Harold 'Billy' Richman and his wife, Sydney of Charleston, S.C.; one grandson, John Bartee of Decatur, Ga.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, at the Jewish Cemetery of Virginia Peninsula with Rabbi Golner officiating.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Heartland Home Care and Hospice for their special care and comfort.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
