Rusty Glazer, Class of 1961, brother of Marc ("Jody") Glazer ('65) of GA, passed away in Manassas on Thursday, July 30, 2009.

Hello Carol. My brother passed away this A.M. in Manassas, VA. Lengthy illness. Parkinson’s. Obit should be in the Washington Post tomorrow. Funeral plans incomplete at this time.

Oh, Jody, I'm so very sorry to hear this! I remember Rusty as a very fine man. You have my deepest condolences.

Rusty will be greatly missed on overlook .We liked talking to him about all his adventures and places he had seen. Please know that he will be in our thoughts always. Sincerely,

Rusty was a wonderful friend and mentor to me during our time together in GAO's Training Institute. I am grateful that our paths crossed. I'll think about him often.

Rusty was an inspiration. He provided support and confidence when I needed it. We shared many enjoyable moments in the Management group in the Training Institute there. I always enjoyed his dapper style, the straw hats he wore, his pride in his family, his faith, and his work.

I read with great sadness the death of

Rusty Glazer ('61) (OF BLESSED MEMORY). I was friends with Rusty as well as his brother Jody ('65 - of GA) and his wife,

Sandy NEE Fink ('67). I was very fond of his Mom, Edith, who was a kind woman. I wanted to extend my sympathies to Jody on behalf of myself and my Mom.....

Certainly, Ed. I was shocked to find Jody's note (or Marc, as he really prefers to be called these days). I tend to remember people as they were, and cannot imagine any of them ever becoming ill, let alone passing on.

His email addy is ____________________. I'm certain he'd appreciate hearing from you at this time of sadness. Normally I have a little rigmarole I go through with the sharing of unpublished emails; I relax the "rules" considerably among friends at times of bereavement.

Thank you for sharing Marc's e-mail address with me. It is always comforting to hear from family and friends at a time like this, and I thank you for making it possible for me to hopefully make a difference sharing memories that I have of Rusty with Marc.
