From the Daily Press - 07/28/16:
Patricia Comer Siceloff
PALM BAY, FLORIDA -
Patricia C. "Pat" Siceloff passed away Monday morning after experiencing a
pulmonary embolism. Doctors and staff tried to resuscitate her at the hospital
but there was not anything they could do. She passed quickly and did not suffer.
A native of Luray, Virginia, Pat was born Mary Patricia Comer on July 16, 1943, to Margaret "Connie" and Wilbur Comer, also of Luray. Her father, Wilbur, was killed in World War II in 1945, and her mother remarried to Conrad Woodard. Pat grew up in Luray with her sister, Ann Woodard, and brother, John Woodard, along with cousins, the current Georgia Duncan and Nancy Haley. Pat graduated Luray High School in 1961 and from James Madison University in 1965 before working as an accountant. She married Paul F. Siceloff of Newport News, Virginia, on Dec.21, 1968. Her son, Steven, was born in 1970. Pat worked as an accountant and bookkeeper in the Newport News Public School System until retirement. Following the passing of Paul Siceloff, Pat moved to Florida near Steven, his wife, Lisa and their son, Evan. Her family was with Pat at the time of her passing. Pat built long-lasting and meaningful friendships in Virginia and Florida. Pat was the embodiment of the phrase, "never met a stranger." She valued her neighbors and friends deeply and spoke of them often and with great cheer and energy. The family will hold a visitation on Wednesday, Aug. 3, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home in Newport News, Virginia. A funeral
service will be conducted Thursday, Aug. 4 , at 10 a.m. also at Peninsula
Funeral Home. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at

Be Thou My Vision
Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my
heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art.
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.
Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.
Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight;
Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;
Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tower:
Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.
Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise,
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.
High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.
