Hi, Carol:
What a small world.   Joyce Lawrence Cahoon ('65) of VA sharing the information on the topic of NASA & The Bible provides this "senior" TYPHOON an opportunity to reply. When Eva (Ellis Madagan - '61 - of FL) and I resided on Bruton Avenue our next door neighbor, who lived on the corner of Bruton Avenue and Harpersville Road in Robinson Terrace was a mathematician at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA. I wish that I could recall her name, but it escapes me right now. Her husband was named Thomas and he was a Superintendent with Jordan Construction Company, and built many of the new school buildings on the Peninsula. They were from Tennessee, and she was genius. She was a of the team that used The Bible to account for the variance in time, as they calculated back in time to be certain of their computations. They shared this account long before it was published, and we could all recall being joyous with finding. Science and Holy Scriptures are not in conflict if we could only stand back, and use our sanctified common sense.

I know you have access to other classes besides our own. We are trying to let as many people know about our reunion as possible. Please forward this if it is not too much trouble.

Riverside School of Professional Nursing is having a Grand Reunion of all classes July 21 and July 22, 2007. There will be a luncheon on Saturday and a tour of the new school campus. Saturday night is open for the individual classes to meet. Sunday there will be a family picnic in NN Park, Jefferson Avenue near Ft. Eustis.
