BONUS - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFcuN2zI3u0 - Lady In Red - Chris De Burgh, Official Live Video

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lady_in_Red_%28Chris_de_Burgh_song%29

"The Lady in Red" is a song by Irish-British artist Chris de Burgh. It was released in June 1986 as the second single from the album Into the Light. The song was a big hit and reached the number one position in Canada, the UK, Ireland, the Flanders region of Belgium, and Norway. It also reached number three in the United States during the spring of 1987.

The song was written in reference to (though not specifically about) his wife Diane and was released on the album Into the Light. On the British TV series This Is Your Life, de Burgh said that the song was inspired by the memory of when he first saw Diane, and how men so often cannot even remember what their wives were wearing when they first met.[1]

From Jeff Fox ('69) of LA - 06/22/16 - "RE: Passing of Sammy Fox, Valedictorian of the Class of 1966":

Thank you, Carol. His obit may not have been placed yet or perhaps his wife or brother haven't gotten around to it yet. Be that as it may, your posting it will at least get the news out to all of his former classmates (still around) that would be interested.

Thanks again.
Jeff Fox, Class of 1969

Thank you, Jeff! I still have not found it, and my frustration is showing no signs of abating, but sometimes obituaries are not published at all, and that's just the way it is.

From My #2 Son, Brent Harty (Hillsboro HS, IL - '90) of TX - 06/23/16 - "11TH ADA "Imperial" Brigade Change of Command Ceremony - Ft. Bliss, TX":

Since you didn't get to see it today...

In a Change of Command ceremony today, Col. Alan Wiernicki relinquished command of the Imperial Brigade to Col. Shana Peck at Noel Field. Wiernicki will be heading to 32nd AAMDC to take over the position of Deputy Commanding Officer. Peck has come to the Imperial Brigade after her tenure as the 32nd AAMDC's Chief of Staff.

It was quite hot, but a good ceremony. The pics do a good job of showing off the Imperial Brigade and change of command today. Best wishes to both commanders!

WOWZERONI! Thank you so much, Brent! There were too many fabulous images for me to post them all, but I certainly couldn't resist sharing this one of you leading your men!

90% of the game is half mental.”

FINALLY:

From www.ajokeaday.com - 06/23/15:

Did you hear about the two explorers, Bob and John who were going through the jungle when a ferocious lion jumped out in front of them?

Bob whispered to John to keep calm. Bob asked John if he remembered what they had read in the book on wild animals.

“If you stand absolutely still and look the lion straight in the eye, he will turn tail and run away,” said Bob.

John said, “Fine. You’ve read the book, I’ve read the book, but has the lion read the book?”

 The Lady in Red

Words and Music by Chris de Burgh, 1986
(b. 15 Oct 1948)

I've never seen you looking so lovely as you did tonight
I've never seen you shine so bright
I've never seen so many men ask you if you wanted to dance
They're looking for a little romance, given half a chance
I have never seen that dress you're wearing
Or the highlights in your head that catch your eyes I have been blind
The lady in red is dancing with me cheek to cheek
There's nobody here, it's just you and me, It's where I wanna be
But I hardly know this beauty by my side
I'll never for get, the way you look tonight

I've never seen you looking so gorgeous as you did tonight
I've never seen you shine so bright you were amazing
I've never seen so many people want to be there by your side
And when you turned to me and smiled, It took my breath away
I have never had such a feeling
Such a feeling of complete and utter love, as I do tonight

The way you look tonight
I never will forget, the way you look tonight
The lady in red
The lady in red
The lady in red
My lady in red (I love you.)
