When
I attended the 40-Year Reunion of the Class of 1966 in the fall of 2006
(was that really almost eleven years ago?), I was honored to sit at the
Head Table with Mrs. Masters,

I
think of them all quite often.

My first homeroom teacher--a
wonderful lady!! The brevity of this wonderful person's obituary indicates that she outlived the majority of her relatives--close ones. There is much more to her than is posted!! I only knew her at NNHS and as a homeroom teacher--but I knew the nice and caring person she was in just that brief daily encounter. The girls that had her as a gym teacher would know more than I do!! I do know she was much more than a note in the paper. |

A very special lady. I had
the privilege of being her school secretary at NNHS 1961. |

Wonderful memories and a
great mentor to all the girls in gym classes. Miss Virginia Stidman
and Miss Lillian Seats were quite a pair. Neither accepted the
word "can't" no matter what we were doing. Later Miss Stidman married
and became Mrs. Masters. She was little, but she was mighty!! Prayers
are with her family. She is definitely part of my NNHS memories. |

So wonderful to see she lived to 93. The last time I saw her several years back, she was undergoing chemo. And, yes, I agree her obituary should be pages long. |

Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise
Words by Walter C. Smith, 1876
Music (St. Denio) by John Roberts, 1839
Immortal, invisible, God only
wise,
In light inaccessible hid from our eyes,
Most blessèd, most glorious, the Ancient of Days,
Almighty, victorious, Thy great Name we praise.
Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light,
Nor wanting, nor wasting, Thou rulest in might;
Thy justice, like mountains, high soaring above
Thy clouds, which are fountains of goodness and love.
To all, life Thou givest, to both great and small;
In all life Thou livest, the true life of all;
We blossom and flourish as leaves on the tree,
And wither and perish—but naught changeth Thee.
Great Father of glory, pure Father of light,
Thine angels adore Thee, all veiling their sight;
But of all Thy rich graces this grace, Lord, impart
Take the veil from our faces, the vile from our heart.
All laud we would render; O help us to see
’Tis only the splendor of light hideth Thee,
And so let Thy glory, Almighty, impart,
Through Christ in His story, Thy Christ to the heart.
