From My Friend, Susan, of NC - 06/15/15:
“Sometimes blessings flow to us like water from a spring, but more often, I think, they come to us from a well, when we are willing to do the hard work of letting down a bucket and then pulling it up, heavy and dripping. Faithfulness brings forth these blessings.” (21 Oct 1926 - 01 Aug 2011) |
Thanks so
much, Susan!

George Jones (12 Sept 1931 - 26 Apr 2013), 1962
Just because I ask a friend about her
Just because I spoke her name somewhere
Just because I rang her number by mistake today
She thinks I still care
Just because I haunt the same old places
Where the mem'ry of her lingers ev'rywhere
Just because I'm not the happy guy I used to be
She thinks I still care
But if she's happy thinkin' I still need her
Then let that silly notion bring her cheer
But how could she ever be so foolish
Oh where would she get such an idea
Just because I ask a friend about her
And just because I spoke her name somewhere
Just because I saw her then went all to pieces
She thinks I still care
She thinks I still care
