From Gary Sealey of VA - 06/09/10 - "Sealey's 89 Main Street":
Hello Friends and
Neighbors,
Susie and I wanted to
give everyone an update on things.
Two months ago Verizon
(Susie's employer) announced that there will be a layoff of 12,000
employees. Susie has worked there for three years and after much
prayer, we have decided to safe-guard by downsizing and renting out
our home.
Teagle Realty (Dicky,
Hilton Terrace) will be managing the property. A very nice military
couple signed a contract to rent our home. They are relocating
from Alabama to Ft. Eustis and they will be here first of July. The
husband has been in the Army for 18 years. He's a helicopter
pilot.
We will temporarily
(July/August) be living in a home just around the corner on Villa
Road until we finalize our plans.
There are several options
we are praying about as Verizon has offered employees a huge
separation-pay option in lieu of the possibility of being laid off
in months to come.
One very strong
possibility is a move to the Philippines to do some mission work .
We will know more in July as the pieces fall in place. Thanks for
your prayers. This is a fabulous neighborhood with awesome folks
like yourself. Thanks for your support and friendships.
We'll keep you updated.

Seth Sealey

YOWZERONI-WOWZERONI! You've reached one of those "delightful" crossroads that Life has a way of throwing at us!
Best wishes to you and your
family as you contemplate your choices, Gary!

06/09/10 - " A quiz for people who know everything!":
A quiz for people who know everything!
There are only nine questions.
This is a quiz for people who
know everything! I found out in a hurry that I didn't.
These are not trick questions. They are straight questions with straight
answers.
1. Name the one sport in which neither the spectators nor the participants know
the score or the leader until the contest ends.
2. What famous North American landmark is constantly moving backward?
3. Of all vegetables, only two can live to produce on their own for several
growing seasons. All other vegetables must be replanted every year. What are the
only two perennial vegetables?
4. What fruit has its seeds on the outside?
5. In many liquor stores, you can buy pear brandy, with a real pear inside the
bottle.. The pear is whole and ripe, and the bottle is genuine; it hasn't been
cut in any way. How did the pear get inside the bottle?
6. Only three words in standard English begin with the letters 'dw' and they are
all common words. Name two of them.
7. There are 14 punctuation marks in English grammar.
Can you name at least half of them?
8. Name the only vegetable or fruit that is never sold frozen, canned,
processed, cooked, or in any other form except fresh.
9. Name 6 or more things that you can wear on your feet beginning with the
letter 'S.'
Answers To Quiz:
1. The one sport in which neither the spectators nor the participants know the
score or the leader until the contest ends: Boxing.
2. North American landmark constantly moving backward: Niagara Falls (The rim is
worn down about two and a half feet each year because of the millions of gallons
of water that rush over it every minute.)
3. Only two vegetables that can live to produce on their own for several growing
seasons: Asparagus and rhubarb.
4. The fruit with its seeds on the outside: Strawberry.
5. How did the pear get inside the brandy bottle? It grew inside the bottle. The
bottles are placed over pear buds when they are small, and are wired in place on
the tree. The bottle is left in place for the entire growing season. When the
pears are ripe, they are snipped off at the stems.
6. Three English words beginning with dw: Dwarf, dwell and dwindle...
7. Fourteen punctuation marks in English grammar: Period, comma, colon,
semicolon, dash, hyphen, apostrophe, question mark, exclamation point, quotation
mark, brackets, parenthesis, braces, and ellipses.
8. The only vegetable or fruit never sold frozen, canned, processed, cooked, or
in any other form but fresh: Lettuce.
9. Six or more things you can wear on your feet beginning with 'S': Shoes,
socks, sandals, sneakers, slippers, skis, skates, snowshoes, stockings, stilts.
PLEASE DO YOUR PART... Today is National Mental Health Day.
You can do your part by remembering to send this e-mail to at least one person.
Well, my job's done!
Just don't send it back to me. I've already flunked it once!
WILD GIGGLES!
Thanks, Ivan!

From
ArcaMax Jokes - 06/10/10:Stop Redundancy The Committee for the Reduction of Redundancy and the Antiproliferation of Repetition has decided not to meet until they have their first meeting and thus will not be meeting until the first time. Their Pre-meeting Statement wanted to make this clear before they had their first meeting, so that it would not be confusing. So their first meeting will actually be their first meeting and they will not have a meeting before the first meeting. This should avoid having people show up for their first meeting before it is held, since to do so would be confusing to those who did so and this is what they want to avoid by reducing the confusion and lessening the repetition. |

Music by

Performed by Johnny Mathis (b. 30 Sept 1935) and Jane Olivor (b. 18 May 1947)
Hello, I don't
even know your name, but I'm hopin' all the same
This is more than just a simple hello.
Hello, do I smile and look away? No, I think I'll smile and stay
To see where this might go.
'Cause the last time I felt like this, I was falling in love,
Falling and feeling, I'd never fall in love again.
Yes, the last time I felt like this, was long before I knew
What I'm feeling now with you.
Hello, I can't wait till we're alone, somewhere quiet on our own
So that we can fall the rest of the way.
I know that before the night is thru, I'll be talking love to you,
Meaning every word I say.
'Cause the last time I felt like this I was falling in love,
Falling and feeling, I'd never fall in love again.
Yes, the last time I felt like this, was long before I knew
What I'm feeling now with you.
Oh, the last time I felt like this I was falling in love,
Falling and feeling, I'd never fall in love again.
Yes, the last time I felt like this, was long before I knew
What I'm feeling now with you.
