My heart is so sad to
have lost Danny, but I can't even imagine the celebration going on
up in Heaven and the reunion with his mom. I'll bet he is like a
little kid skipping down the streets of gold just taking everything
in and asking a million questions. He was a precious man. I am so
sorry for your loss, Debra. You, your children, and grandchildren
were the loves of his life. I'm so glad I got to see him Thursday at
Anna's retirement...it was like he never left. Blessed be to all of
you.

same without the kind, gentle, caring neighbor that Danny was. Going
out in my yard, I will always miss his friendly smile and caring
manner. May the memories of this fine man comfort you all.
~ Linda Adkins, Newport News, Virginia
All of you have our deepest
sympathy. It is unbelievable that we won't see Danny helping out in
the Social Hall and serving communion to all of us. I have served on
numerous committees throughout the years with Danny, and not only
was he was a wealth of knowledge, but he could always be counted on
to do more than his share of the work. He could be really funny and
he would often share something that was going on in your lives.
Cherish your happy memories. All of you will remain in our thoughts
and prayers during this time. God Bless.
~ Kitty and Terry Heffington, Newport News, Virginia

Psalm 90)

1. O God, our help in ages past,
Our hope for years to come,
Our shelter from the stormy blast,
And our eternal home.
2. Under the shadow of Thy throne
Thy saints have dwelt secure;
Sufficient is Thine arm alone,
And our defense is sure.
3. Before the hills in order stood,
Or earth received her frame,
From everlasting Thou art God,
To endless years the same.
4. Thy Word commands our flesh to dust,
“Return, ye sons of men”:
All nations rose from earth at first,
And turn to earth again.
5. A thousand ages in Thy sight
Are like an evening gone;
Short as the watch that ends the night
Before the rising sun.
6. The busy tribes of flesh and blood,
With all their lives and cares,
Are carried downwards by the flood,
And lost in foll’wing years.
7. Time, like an ever-rolling stream,
Bears all its sons away;
They fly, forgotten, as a dream
Dies at the op’ning day.
8. Like flow’ry fields the nations stand
Pleased with the morning light;
The flow’rs beneath the mower’s hand
Lie with’ring ere ’tis night.
9. O God, our help in ages past,
Our hope for years to come,
Be Thou our guard while troubles last,
And our eternal home.
