I was so saddened to hear of AC's sudden passing. So many of us will miss his friendship and willingness to allow us in the back of his boat. We will miss the look he gave over his shoulder after the bearish hook set on another Chick-a-hominy bass. Few men have the passion as AC did about his fishing, and very few had that passion about more than one thing. We admire him for his fishing ability, and even more for his love for his Ruth. Every time you saw him on the river, it had already been approved by her.
Ruth, thank you so much for sharing him with us. God Bless you, Brother, and good fishing!

From the staff at Med Point we deeply express our sympathy. Mr. O'Dell always brought a smile to our faces, and usually a laugh or two. Always shared his love for his family, water and fishing. We love and will miss him dearly! Our hearts and prayers are with all of his family and friends.

Nearer, My God, to Thee

Words by Sarah Flower Adams (22 Feb 1805 - 14 Aug 1848), based loosely on Genesis 28:1119,[1], 1841
Music (Bethany) by
Lowell Mason (08 Jan 1792 11 Aug 1872), 1856

Nearer, my God, to thee, nearer to thee!
E'en though it be a cross that raiseth me,
still all my song shall be,
nearer, my God, to thee;
nearer, my God, to thee, nearer to thee!

Though like the wanderer, the sun gone down,
darkness be over me, my rest a stone;
yet in my dreams I'd be
nearer, my God, to thee;
nearer, my God, to thee, nearer to thee!

There let the way appear, steps unto heaven;
all that thou sendest me, in mercy given;
angels to beckon me
nearer, my God, to thee;
nearer, my God, to thee, nearer to thee!

Then, with my waking thoughts bright with thy praise,
out of my stony griefs Bethel I'll raise;
so by my woes to be
nearer, my God, to thee;
nearer, my God, to thee, nearer to thee!

Or if, on joyful wing cleaving the sky,
sun, moon, and stars forgot, upward I fly,
still all my song shall be,
nearer, my God, to thee;
nearer, my God, to thee, nearer to thee!
