Dear Friends and Schoolmates,
 I am obviously deeply grieved to bring you still more sad news this Sunday.       Paul Harty, Bardolph (IL) Class of 1961, husband of   Carol Buckley Harty ('65) of NC, passed away in Lillington, North Carolina on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at the age of 77.

   He  was the brother of   Elieen Harty Lafary (Bardolph HS, IL - '64) of IL,   Phyllis Harty McGuire (Bardolph HS, IL - '65) of IL, Paulette Harty Johnston (Bardolph HS, IL - '67) of MO,  Mary Harty Holdiness (Bushnell HS, IL - '69) of FL,   Gordon Harty (Jackson HS, MO - '71) of MO,  Gary Harty (Jackson HS, MO - '73) of PA, and       Ramona Harty (Jackson HS, MO - '75) of MO. and of the late     Jack Harty, Bardolph HS (IL) Class of 1966 (03 Apr 1948 - 01 Jan 2011).

   In addition to his parents, Paul and Izella Lewis Harty, he was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Olin McGuire, Winchester High School (IL) Class of 1968 (07 Oct 1950 - 07 Dec 2009), his step mother, Lavern Simmers Schrader Harty (05 Aug 1928 - 24 Jan 2012), and his niece, Kelly McGuire, Winchester (IL) HS Class of 1990 (26 Mar 1972 - 17 Sept 2013).

                       Paul H. Harty, Jr.
         FAYETTEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA - Paul Hampton Harty, Jr. 77, of Fayetteville passed away on May 13, 2021 at the Universal Healthcare of Lillington with his family by his side.

Paul was born on August 1, 1943 in Bloomfield, Missouri to the late Paul Hampton Harty, Sr. and Celesta Izella Lewis Harty.

He was a 1961 graduate of Bardolph High School in Illinois, and graduated from Southeast Missouri State College in1965 with a double major in History and Social Studies. He continued his studies in Guidance and Counseling at Western Illinois University.

A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served four years in the U.S. Navy, and worked as an educator and an outreach counselor.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carol Randolph Buckley Harty; Children, Lewis Harty (Mary) of Utah, Brent Harty (Laura) of Oklahoma, Randolph Harty (Brandy) of Illinois, Joshua Harty (Kim) of North Carolina, Nathaniel Harty of Missouri, Dale Harty (Diana) of California, Adrienne Harty of North Carolina; siblings, Elieen Lafary (Gary), Phyllis McGuire, all of Illinois, Paulette Johnston (Lyle) of Missouri, Mary Holdiness (Ron) of Florida, Gordon Harty (Pam) of Missouri, Gary Harty (Kathleen) of Pennsylvania, Ramona Harty of Missouri; sister-in-law, Shirley Harty of Illinois; and 19 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Harty.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday May 26 at 3:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3200 Scotty Hill Road Fayetteville, NC 28303.
