My deepest sympathy to all of his family. I only worked with Mr. Jimmy for a few years at Casey BMW but it was quickly obvious why he had so many people who loved and admired him; I know I did and he will always have a special place in my heart. I have never known and doubt I ever will again know someone who could tell a story like he could. He will be missed but never forgotten.

Prayers are sent to the family and friends of Jimmy. We went to Briarfield School in the early 1960s and I worked a short while in the NN Police Dept. Behind the school we had a baseball field and we were like 12 or 13 years old and on Facebook just 3 days ago we were talking about great players and Jimmy was one of them. it was also noted how nice and polite that Jimmy and Ben were. That statement follows you all through your life. So I just wanted to say that you really had a son and friend to be proud of and I just wanted to let you know even after all these years that I remembered.

My dad took me to see him play football when he was QB at Newport News High School. He was one of the best QB's in the country and some of his records still stand. Rest in peace. Condolences to his family.

Amazing Grace

Words by John Newton, 1779
(24 July 1725 – 21 Dec 1807)

 Amazing grace! (how sweet the sound)
That sav'd a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears reliev'd;
How precious did that grace appear,
The hour I first believ'd!

Thro' many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come;
'Tis grace has brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.

The Lord has promis'd good to me,
His word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be,
As long as life endures.

Yes, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease;
I shall possess, within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, who call'd me here below,
Will be forever mine.
