Family of the Late Robert Meck,
I was shocked and saddened to read Robert's obituary this morning. My heart goes out to each of you because I imagine the pain of your loss. Robert was such a nice guy and a great caregiver for Mother Meck when she was at home.
May your fond memories of Robert bring you some peace. God will keep you during this most difficult time.
Be encouraged and blessed.

Meck Family,
Please excuse my confusion as I sent my first condolence. I was in such shock that I did not realize who I was referring to until I talked to Billie on the phone.
Please accept my apology and sincerest sympathy.

To the Meck Family,
It seems as if it was only yesterday we were all young and carefree. I have wonderful memories of the times spent with Bobby and Billy, who were more like brothers to me when we were growing up.
My thoughts are with you during this sad time and hope that you each find comfort in the memories you have of Bobby.
With sympathy,

I was so sad to learn of Bobby's homegoing, but rejoice in his salvation. I am grateful for his military service to our country. I have fond memories before he was born of the excitement that twins were expected in the neighborhood. Elizabeth and I were playmates in the 50's; Please know my prayers are with your family.

To the Meck Family: I am so sorry to hear of the death of Bobby. I worked at Manning's Grocery Store on Buxton and 19th Street when I was in high school. How well I remember the two sets of twins in one family. Such a nice family. I knew Elizabeth and John better as I was older than each of you. I graduated in 1960, the year ahead of Elizabeth. My wife, Patty Andrews Mays graduated in 1961 with Elizabeth. I am so glad to read that he was a Christian; hence, you will be reunited with him again. My prayers are with each of you.....God bless you all.

Nearer My God to Thee

Words: Sarah F. Adams, 1805-1848
Music: Lowell Mason, 1792-1872

1. Nearer, my God, to thee, nearer to thee!
E'en though it be a cross that raiseth me,
still all my song shall be,
nearer, my God, to thee;
nearer, my God, to thee, nearer to thee!

2. Though like the wanderer, the sun gone down,
darkness be over me, my rest a stone;
yet in my dreams I'd be
nearer, my God, to thee;
nearer, my God, to thee, nearer to thee!

3. There let the way appear, steps unto heaven;
all that thou sendest me, in mercy given;
angels to beckon me
nearer, my God, to thee;
nearer, my God, to thee, nearer to thee!

4. Then, with my waking thoughts bright with thy praise,
out of my stony griefs Bethel I'll raise;
so by my woes to be
nearer, my God, to thee;
nearer, my God, to thee, nearer to thee!

5. Or if, on joyful wing cleaving the sky,
sun, moon, and stars forgot, upward I fly,
still all my song shall be,
nearer, my God, to thee;
nearer, my God, to thee, nearer to thee!
