03/11/16 - NNHS Newsletter - Bonnie Kellswater

The English language brings out the best in the Irish. They court it like a beautiful woman. They make it bray
with donkey laughter. They hurl it at the sky like a paint pot full of rainbows, and then make it chant a dirge
for man's fate and man's follies that is as mournful as misty spring rain crying over the fallow earth.
"

- T. E. Kalem on Brendan Behan's 1958 play, Borstal Boy

The Cicret

This blows my mind, and it’s only a hint of what might be coming in the future

Now this is simply amazing. This is the coolest bracelet going and will be very marketable soon. Are you ready for this? And it's waterproof too.

Look what they have developed in Israel. Forget everything you think technology can do. This goes beyond that!! This will be available next year.

   WOWZERONI! Thank you, Wayne!

  From Wayne Agee ('58) of FL - 03/10/16 - "Two Classics - And One's A Packard":

What a great pair of treasures...

A CAR SALESMAN'S NIGHTMARE!

She will not buy a new car until she has worn her old one out and it is still in new condition - after all it is only 84 years old (the car that is, oh the lady... she's 101!!! at the time video was filmed in 2011).

Take notice in the video that she lays a shop rag on the running board to step onto when she gets in the car. After she is in the car, she leans all the way down to the running board to get the rag. She is in great physical and mental shape for her age. The car is not bad either!

Click on the link below to view this beautiful car and listen to this wonderful, seemingly ageless lady.

FINALLY:

From http://www.ajokeaday.com - 03/10/16:

Recently a large seminar was held for ministers in training. Among the guests were many well-known motivational speakers.

One of these speakers boldly approached the pulpit and, gathering the entire crowd’s attention, said, “The best years of my life were spent in the arms of a woman that wasn’t my wife!”

The crowd was shocked! He followed up by saying, “And that woman was my mother!” The crowd burst into laughter and he gave his speech, which went over well.

About a week later one of the ministers who had attended the seminar decided to use that joke in his sermon. As he shyly approached the pulpit one sunny Sunday, he tried to rehearse the joke in his head. It seemed a bit foggy to him that morning.

Getting to the microphone he said loudly, “The greatest years of my life were spent in the arms of another woman that was not my wife!”

His congregation sat shocked. After standing there for almost 10 seconds trying to recall the second half of the joke, the pastor finally blurted out, “…and I can’t remember who she was!”

Bonnie Kellswater

Here's a health to you, bonnie Kellswater
For it's there you'll find the pleasures of life
And it's there you'll find fishing and farming
And a bonnie wee girl for your wife.

On the hills and the glens and the valleys
Grows the softest of women so fine
And the flowers are all dripping with honey
There lives Martha, a true love of mine.

Bonnie Martha, you're the first girl I courted
You're the one put my heart in a snare
And if ever I should lose you to another
I will leave my Kellswater so fair.

For this one and that one may court her
But no other can take her from me
For I love her as I love my Kellswater
Like the primrose is loved by the bee.

Here's a health to you, bonnie Kellswater
For it's there you'll find the pleasures of life
And it's there you'll find fishing and farming
And a bonnie wee girl for your wife.
