NEWPORT NEWS - Doris Rea Kline
McNabb, a native and lifelong resident of Newport News, died in the early
morning hours of March 2, 2009, at home. She is now with her heavenly
Father. Doris Rea was born on July 31, 1928, the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence B. Kline, who preceded her in death. She graduated from Newport News High School in 1945 and went to work for NACA, which is now NASA, until the birth of her first child, Harris B. Pate III. She returned to the work world, in 1965, at Langley Air Force Base. In the 32 years that she worked for the government, she received her B.A., with honors, from St. Leo College, and an M.A. from Golden Gate University. |

Brother Carl McNabb and Family,
It is with a heavy heart that I write this message. Doris (Mom) was very special to so many people, and Laura and I will always remember her and her beautiful smile. March 05, 2009
My prayers are with the family
at this time and my memories of Doris and the family are many. The Lord is
our refuge in times like these.

In the Garden
Words and Music by Charles Austin
Miles, 1912
(7 Jan 1868 - 10 Mar 1946)
I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear, falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses
And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known
He speaks and the sound of His voice
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing
And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known
I'd stay in the garden with Him
'Tho the night around me be falling
But He bids me go; through the voice of woe
His voice to me is calling
And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known
