Dear
Friends and Schoolmates,
Today is the only day of the year which when spoken in English
forms a sentence. And that, of course, is cause enough for celebration
today - just as it has been for the last two years:

03/02/11 - "Web Hosting Costs":
Your newsletter entry was … well … inexplicit. If you were asking for donations to sustain the site, you never quite came out and said that. You cannot be that subtle and expect your readers to respond. Also, the notification from the web host was not clear. It did not say what the discount would be for an extended plan. The figure of $14.95 was asterisked, but it was not explained what that meant. Is that the monthly cost at the undiscounted rate? The annual cost. I would recommend that you put all the facts on the table and see who responds. Specify precisely what you need. Yes,
well, I've been operating at well below full capacity all week, Captain
- hence the enormous backlog of Newsletters and individual items!
It's hard to say, but more than likely, I meant that as an annual statement of our situation. The server will renew on March 03 of each year, and there are a variety of options: Hosting Plan: Web Pro Plus (Due date: 2011-03-02)
* 3 Months - $25.47 We just went with the one-year plan, and the site has been renewed for another year, but I did amend that vague posting. Actually, I've tried to say as little as possible lately - either out loud or online. Everything I DO say is coming out all wrong, so I'm pretty much trying to follow the wisdom of the Wonderful Tar Baby, and "lay low" - because chances seem excellent that I've landed in an alternate universe.....
Thanks, David!

03/02/11 - "UNESCO decision about Rachel's Tomb and undermine Israel's
Jewish future.":
I am not sure if you want
to get involved with this proposal but I find it to be insane. Keep up
your great work for the Typhoon Nation.
Ivan Anker `67 http://www.emetonline.org/index.php?/action_alerts: KEVER RACHEL PETITION: Protest UNESCO Effort to Erase Jewish Connection To Site January 27 2011The Executive Board of UNESCO has declared 2 of Judaism’s holiest sites (Tomb of the Patriarchs and Tome of Rachel) to be mosques and demand that Israel remove the sites from its National Heritage list. In an effort to erase Jewish history and supersede Jewish religious sites with Islamic institutions, Muslims have intentionally built mosques upon numerous synagogues and Jewish holy sites. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office decried the ludicrous nature of the UNESCO decision: “The attempt to detach the Nation of Israel from its heritage is absurd. If the nearly 4,000-year-old burial sites of the Patriarchs and Matriarchs of the Jewish Nation - Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel and Leah -are not part of its culture and tradition, then what is a national cultural site?” In cooperating with efforts to erase Jewish historical ties to Israel, UNESCO is aiding and abetting those who hope to and obfuscate Israel ‘s Jewish past and undermine Israel‘s Jewish future. Sign the petition today! http://www.petitiononline.com/rabbiv/petition.html SEE ALSO: WHAT?!? This is the most ludicrous, unconscionable nonsense I've read in some time! How can such things be?!? Thank you
for bringing this to our attention, Ivan!

My favorite example of Chutzpah: “A child who brutally murders his parents and, then, throws himself on the mercy of the court, because he is an orphan.”

As a trucker stops for a red light, a blonde catches up. She jumps out
of her car, runs up to his truck, and knocks on the door.
He knocks on her window, and after she lowers it, he
says...
"Hi, my name is Mark, it's winter in MICHIGAN and I'm driving the SALT TRUCK!" |
