It reached number four on the Billboard chart and sold a million copies.[2] Clanton performed on Dick Clark's American Bandstand and toured with popular artists like Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis and The Platters.[3]...

     From Fred Mays ('60) of VA - 03/02/16, 10:49 PM:

I am so sorry to hear about all that         Paul (Harty - Bardolph HS, IL - '61 - of NC) has experienced. He is such a great guy…… I am so glad he has improved. We will pray for him.

I would like to mention that there is an obituary in the D.P. today of
    Douglas Wayne Brown, Sr. He graduated from N.N.H.S. in 1956 and became our City Treasurer.

I knew about
Nancy Madagan Van Orden’s death and never saw an obituary in the Daily Press. I highly regard her siblings.

Carol, please hang in there……I know it is tough on you as well as Paul. Please know we will lift both of you in prayer.

Take care, my friend and thank you for all you do.

Fred Mays, N.N.H.S. ‘60

   Thank you so much for catching Doug's obituary for me, Fred.   I can only imagine one way I missed it. The Daily Press must have added it to their postings after I had already finished reading the obituaries for the day. I created his Memorial Edition in the wee hours of the morning before my "second sleep":

   Nancy's obituary, on the other hand, did not run in the Daily Press - nor any other newspaper, as far as I could tell. Her big brother      Joe Madagan ('57) of FL sent the link to the Rochester NY funeral home to me on Facebook after I had despaired of finding it. Thanks again, Major Madagan!

   Thank you again for all your kind thoughts and prayers, Fred!

Just a Dream

Written and recorded by Jimmy Clanton, 1958
(b. 02 Sept 1940)

Just a dream, just a dream:
All our plans and our all schemes.
How could I think you'd be mine?
The lies I'd tell myself each time.

I know that we could never last;
We just can't seem to in the past.
Just a dream I dream in vain;
With you I'd only live in pain.

Your picture is always with me;
I can still hear that same mournful song.
And now I sit here crying;
Please leave me alone.

Why, why do I love you?
How can I live in misery?
I know that I won't forget you,
But now I know it's too late for me.
